Camille Marie is a recent graduate of Emory & Henry College, having received her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts - Directing and Stage Management. She is currently serving as the resident ASM at TImber Lake Playhouse. Her most recent directing project was Built on Shadows, an original dance adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth written and produced at Emory & Henry College. Her Assistant Directing credits include Mary Poppins, Violet, Songs for a New World, Ordinary Days, and Spring Awakening. She has worked professionally as a Production lntern at Barter Theatre and a Stage Management Apprentice at New York Stage and Film.
While Camille has worked in a variety of theatrical styles, she is especially interested in movement based work and exploring how the physical manifestation of the subconscious influences the way people communicate. Camille is inspired most by dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch and her revolutionary work in Tanztheater.
When Camille is not in the theatre, you can find her crocheting coasters, singing in her car, and talking to squirrels.
